Travelling is not all pretty pictures!
This past week, after we decided to hack the itinerary and work in the waterfalls, has been a giant exercise in frustration. Our flight from Sao Paulo to Buenos Aires was with a Brazillian airline... and when I called their call centre to see about changing the flight, it turned out that this was not something they were capable of doing. (Several tense minutes of language-barrier hampered conversation later. In English.)
So I had to call the Ticketing Office in Miami. During regular business hours. Repeatedly. A lot. The English comprehension there was at a similar level, and it was hit and miss over whether or not I'd reach someone at their desk. Eventually, we got the change made, for the price advertised on the website. But this price was much lower than the one we'd played for the original flight...
And I'm still not sure how it's going to go with the refund. They said it could be up to three months and that they'd call me back. I haven't heard from them yet. I'll have to call again Monday.
ALSO.
They initially only sent the e-ticket for John's revamped flight. And it took upwards of 20 minutes to get the woman at the office (a new one) to understand what was going on.
Finally now, we have both e-tickets in hand, and flights on another airline to get to Buenos Aires.
So we're going to the falls. And it's going to be great.
Anyway, after Cordoba, which was the last photo I shared, we're heading for Salta, where they've just discovered this young lady:

As for the photos of Bolivia and Peru.... you'll just have to wait for the real thing!

Also...I'm going to see the Arcade Fire tonight in a giant field beside a river. I'll tell them John says hello.
