Stolen from an old post elsewhere

Aside from the clearly amazing fact that we'll see Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, La Paz, Cuzco and Macchu Picchu, some places I am super-excited about are:

Brazil - Ilha Grande

Beaches, rainforest, coves filled with starfish, no cars.... Yeah...

Bolivia - Uyuni Salt Flats

Kilometres and kilometres of salt flats. Crazy.

Peru - Manu Biological Reserve

A 4-day, 3-night tour into the cloud forest and Amazon rainforest. With lodges. Probably. Though the one with camping is cheaper, even if we have to buy sleeping bags in Peru.

Also I briefly flirted this afternoon with the idea of tandem hangliding off a cliff in Rio. But I think I got over it.
